You’ll end up on an NSA watch list as I most assuredly have. In the past 2 days I’ve Googled:
- How long does it take to choke somebody to death?
- Phosphate based explosive compounds.
- Flashpoint of magnesium?
- Rats as biological weapons.
- Mosquitoes as biological weapons.
- How can you train a botfly?
Okay, that last one might not have tripped any flags but I’d still be worried about anybody searching for it. Unless they were writers, of course.
What scary/weird things have you been Googling?
Just added “Principles of asymmetrical warfare” to my Google epitaph. I need to do some searches for kittens and bunnies, stat!

I was just thinking about this today! I’ve got to be on somebody’s watchlist! I’ve googled: How long does it take someone to bleed out from a severed femoral artery, art theft, art forgery, the Symbionese Liberation Army, the Black Panthers and MOVE. Also large caliber firearms, bipolar disorder, stalking and schizophrenia. See, now they’re going to be looking at you as one of my known associates! You’re welcome! 😀

If they put our lists together we won’t see sunlight for years! 😀

You may be okay, as long as you didn’t also search for paired triggers like “Back hoe rental” or “pig farms near me”.

I’ve searched some similar things (some for research and some just out of curiosity). How long it takes to drown; drugs that make murder look like a heart attack; insurance fraud.
The other day, I got the idea to do some writing during my lunch break at work. I work for a governmental agency, so I quickly decided to just jot down a few things rather than google anything from my work computer. Might be a bad idea.

I’ve moved to my next book and my searches have gotten much safer. Mostly about hydroponics and such. You know fertilizer active compounds, phosphorous and such.
Oh. Wait… Damn.
